#1 The Legend of Zelda, Majora’s Mask
Majora’s Mask is hands down my favorite Zelda game ever made. Not only does it not follow the usual theme, it has it’s own dark, edgy vibe to it and i love playing it each and every time. This game starts out well for link, who is heading towards a place called Termina, set in an alternative reality to ocarina of times Hyrule. Upon arrival, he discovers that this town is set to be destroyed unless link can find a way to stop it, and the Skull kid.
Majora’s Mask expands on ocarina of time, using similar functions like playing the ocarina and using masks to transform and turn into different beings to solve puzzles. The three main masks are the Goron, the Deku Scrub and the zora mask, each used in their respective areas of the game. Throughout the game, you have three days to complete a task before you have to play your instrument (each mask has a different instrument) to turn back time and complete another task until you have enough power to defeat the skull kid. Throughout the game you can collect twenty four masks in total and they can all be turned in to the kids on the moon, followed by a puzzle, to receive the fierce link deity mask to make the final battle a little easier. All in all this is one of the best games i have ever played and i hope they port it to the Nintendo Switch soon so i can enjoy it once more!
